The reason is that the small sharp and hard ceramic fragments induce scratches that pierce through the residual stresses of the glass. Ceramic window tints can cost from a hundred dollars to almost a thousand.

Although effective spark plug fragments will not work all the time. Several people have suggested that the charge of the glass and the ceramic from the spark plug create a spark that breaks the glass in an explosive way. Uv rays are light rays that are harmful to the skin and can contribute to wrinkling sun damage and the development of skin cancer.
